  13. I should add to my previous comments regarding Cobbweb.  Cobbweb should *help* you
  14. to get many of your items installed, but not necessarily completely configured.
  15. Just to re-iterate Holger's comments, read the docs for the components of what you plan
  16. to install.  I used Cobbweb which got most things in the right place.  From there
  17. I still had to do lots of configuring.  And, I too, needed assistance from
  18. some of the various programs' authors, such as Holger (  thanks, Holger :)  ).
  19. The installer kits, I found, kind of act as a "here is where most of your stuff
  20. should go", which doesn't necessarily mean that your programs will work right
  21. "out of the box".   (Wouldn't it be nice if they would?).  I will say, that
  22. Cobbweb helped me most in getting the Amitcp 4.0 Demo program running properly.
  23. PPP I had to tweak (mainly to put together a dialscript).
